Website analytics

Ancrage Global uses an internal pseudonymous analytics tool, without Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. You can opt out of this tracking at any time. The privacy page itself is not recorded in the analytics.

Who processes your data?

The data controller is Sébastien Frête, Ancrage Global, Switzerland.

2. Data processed

What information may be collected?

Contact form

First name or surname, email address, selected subject, message content, and date and time of sending.

The website processes only the information you choose to provide. Avoid sending detailed medical information that is not necessary for your request.

Contact through WhatsApp

The WhatsApp button voluntarily opens an external service with a prepared message stating that you came from the Ancrage Global website. The website does not display the contact number. As soon as WhatsApp opens, data relating to your account, device and conversation is processed according to the rules of WhatsApp and Meta.

Newsletter subscription

On the French-language home page: first name, email address, subscription date, subscription status, tags and interactions with emails when measured by Systeme.io.

Browsing and analytics

Pages viewed, date and time, approximate reading time, scroll depth, clicks on links and buttons together with their label and destination, referral source, UTM parameters, device type and approximate location provided by Cloudflare.

Article reactions

A click on a green heart, the article concerned, date and time, referral source, device and a pseudonymous identifier. No name or email address is requested for this reaction.

3. How data is used

Why is this data used?

  • to answer messages sent through the Contact page;
  • to open a direct WhatsApp conversation at your request;
  • to send requested articles, information and welcome email sequences;
  • to manage subscriptions, unsubscribes and communication preferences;
  • to understand which articles are read and appreciated;
  • to improve the website’s content, navigation and quality;
  • to measure where visits come from and the effectiveness of shared links;
  • to keep the website secure and limit automated abuse.

Depending on the situation, this processing is based on your request, your consent or Ancrage Global’s legitimate interest in securing, understanding and improving its website in a proportionate way.

Ancrage Global neither sells nor rents your personal data and does not use it to create behavioural advertising.

4. Newsletter

Forms and emails through Systeme.io

The subscription form embedded only in the French-language home page is provided by Systeme.io, operated by ITACWT Limited, a company incorporated under Irish law. When you display or use the form, your browser communicates with Systeme.io’s servers.

The information entered is used to create your contact record, send you the messages to which you consented, manage automations, tags, email statistics and your unsubscribe request.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the emails or through the Contact page. A double opt-in process may also be used to confirm and document your subscription.

5. Audience measurement

Internal analytics and green hearts

The website uses an analytics system developed for Ancrage Global and hosted with the website. It does not send reading events to Google Analytics or Meta.

The server may briefly use an IP address together with browser information to create an encrypted pseudonymous identifier. The raw IP address is not stored in the analytics files. The identifier distinguishes visits without directly revealing the reader’s identity.

Analytics may record: page views, sessions, source, UTM campaign, device, approximate country, region, city and time zone, 30-second reading events, scrolling to 50% or 90%, visible duration, labels and destinations of clicked links or buttons, sharing clicks, clicks towards the subscription or Contact page, and completed subscriptions.

Clicks on green hearts are counted for each article. The private analytics page may display a pseudonymous reader code, but it cannot reveal the reader’s name or email address.

The browser’s “Do Not Track” signal is respected. You can also disable analytics using the buttons at the top of this page.

10. Security

Protection and updates to this policy

Reasonable measures are in place to limit unauthorised access: an HTTPS connection, protected data folders, private access to the analytics page, contact-form validation and measures to limit automated abuse.

However, no system can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated if the website, tools or regulations change. The update date shown at the top of the page identifies the version currently in force.
